Narrative Fusion

The slogan of the Bauhaus was: "Art and technology - a new unity." In line with that philosophy, I humbly offer these precepts:

1. Publishing is the new architecture. Content will be pushed to the built environment, and buildings will be published.

2. Film is architectonic (as opposed to literary) from its origin in the camera obscura, and must be reduced to its purest elements.

3. The new synthesis between media, architecture and technology creates a radical new form of understanding: narrative fusion in the built environment.

4. The movement from film to television to computer is one of evolving interaction.

5. The creation of narrative environments will be a new form of montage that places the graphical elements of cinema architecturally. Films will be environmental, tactile, kinesthetic: a new multidimensional assemblage bridging time and place.
